Series: Future Transmissions Curator's Note: Among the Archive's ceremonial holdings is a peculiar winged emblem believed to have represented a kingdom absent from all surviving maps. Its elaborate markings and unfamiliar denominations suggest a postal authority whose origins remain uncertain. For generations, the herald was thought to be merely decorative, until its wings began to move, revealing colors and symbols previously concealed within the design. No records indicate whether the kingdom disappeared or simply withdrew from correspondence. "Not every kingdom leaves a map behind." — The Dead Letter Archive A collection of postal artifacts from places both real and imagined. #deadletter #thedeadletterarchive #sonoma
