Marginalia translation: "Those who serve / Those who savor / The eye watches. Service included?! The street is burning!" Collage on an invoice card from Brasserie Lipp, the iconic Saint-Germain haunt favored by politicians, senators, and the French elite. Pitting the exorbitant cost of dining against the burning streets outside, the piece juxtaposes the divide between those who labor and those who feast, all under the watchful gaze of the state.
